Overview
You may browse and access information contained within this website without providing any personal information.
I comply with the UK GDPR policy and respect your rights to have access to your personal data, or to have it erased or corrected if it is inaccurate.
This privacy policy outlines how I work with your personal information when (a) you browse my website and/or (b) we work together and/or (c) I take images, video footage and/or audio recordings of you as part of a media production I have produced myself. Please be advised individual productions I work alongside you on, particularly those produced by third parties, may have different privacy policies and terms & conditions.

The type of personal information collected
I may currently collect and process the following information:
• Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)
• Financial information, when this is provided for a transaction (for example, bank account number and sort code for a bank transfer)
• Images, video footage and/or audio recordings containing identifiable persons

How I get the personal information and why I have it
Most of the personal information I process is provided to me directly by you for one of the following reasons:
• You reached out with a business enquiry, for example via the contact page on this website or my email address
• We are working or have worked on a project together, during which personal information was exchanged in order to collaborate effectively
• You have contacted me and your personal information was included in the body of the message, for example your phone number was included in your email signature
• I photographed or filmed you for the purposes of a production I produced or co-produced, for example where I was the videographer and you were a contributor
I also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
• Social media profiles, such as LinkedIn and Instagram
• Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics when these are shared with me by a third-party, for example a production colleague
• Upon discovering personal information in the public domain, such as on a publicly accessible website
I use the information that you have given to carry out work contracted by you, for conducting my business operations, and to contact you via electronic or written communication where appropriate.
I may share this information with colleagues and other persons who help provide a service to you as part of my business operations, as required by law such as to Government bodies in the UK and overseas, or anyone else where you have given your consent or where this information is already in the public domain. I will only use your personal data when the law allows me to.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis I rely on for processing this information is:
LEGITIMATE INTERESTS. My legitimate interests include:
• Enabling myself to provide my products and services to you and others
• Administration of my work
• Protection against risks to myself, my work and others

How I store your personal information
Your information is securely stored in online and offline storage. I keep your personal information for as long as realistically required to carry out related business operations. Due to the nature of online cloud storage, your personal information may be held on servers anywhere in the world, including outside of the UK, EU and EEA.
When it is time for me to dispose of your information, I will erase all copies in my possession, including from any of my online and offline storage. If printed, the information will be shredded.

Photography and filming
Below is some general information about photography and filming I conduct as part of my work. As stated above, please be advised individual productions I work alongside you on, particularly those produced by third parties, may have different privacy policies and terms & conditions.
Consent will, under many circumstances, be obtained from people who I have photographed or filmed - or, depending on their age, their parent or legal guardian - where they have been a subject in a media production. Please be advised this only applies when a completed release form is fundamental for an individual's inclusion in a production, and that legitimate interests and exemptions to GDPR can still apply. More information about exemptions to GDPR can be found below.
An individual captured in a photograph or video can withdraw their consent even after having signed the consent form. Any such withdrawal should be in writing. Please be advised withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before this consent withdrawal, and that you may continue to appear in productions already in circulation. Further, it will not normally be possible to recall the media productions in which the individual's image has already appeared. Therefore, if you have signed a consent form and changed your mind about appearing in the production, it is advised that you send your written revocation of consent prior to the production's release.
In the United Kingdom, photography and filming carried out in a public space where there is no expectation of privacy will not usually carry the same requirements, particularly when persons are captured incidentally in the background. This is something I assess on a case-by-case basis as, for example, filming for journalistic purposes and filming for commercial purposes require different considerations.
Be advised that exemptions to GDPR can apply when personal data is processed for: journalistic purposes, academic purposes, artistic purposes, or literary purposes. Some of my videography, such as my work as a news shooter, is carried out for journalistic purposes. Other work may fall under artistic purposes or academic purposes.
When filming or working, I endeavour to comply with UK law and, when overseas, local laws as applicable.
